Renewal Time Winding Down!

Our 2010 membership renewal period is winding down and runs through mid December. The NCGA notified us in September that their dues are increasing from $30 to $36 per year. As a consequence the club dues have been increased to cover most of this added cost. For regular members, those under 60, that means $100 for next year's membership while seniors 60 and over will pay $95 to renew.

If you haven't already renewed, time is running out.  To avoid a $30 late fee, get your forms and checks in my December 11.  To make it easy, just click the link below and do it online.  You can update your contact information and pay without the fuss of writing and mailing a check.

Player of the Year

The 2009 competitive year ended on October 18 with the two day Tournament of Champions.  Patrick Beaulieu continued his stellar performance with a fourth place finish in the event to take Player of the Year honors.

Time to Sip and Shop

Saturday is our last tournament of the year.  The Ham Shoot offers you the chance to walk away with one of those coveted Safeway gift cards to spend as you please or to donate to charity.

Saturday, December 5, between 11am and 4pm is also the annual Sip and Shop event at the Brad Lozares Golf Shop.  This is the perfect opportunity to spend some of those pro shop credits you earned during the year.  Even if you didn't win much over the last 12 months, you can still find some great bargains for that golfer on your Christmas shopping list.

Volunteers Needed for Holiday Classic

Each holiday season, Brad and his staff run a great junior golf event called the Holiday Classic.  This year, you can help out by volunteering as a walking scorer.  You'll accompany a foursome of juniors and record their scores for nine holes.  Contact either Brad or Rich at the golf shop (650-856-0881).

Most of you know at least one golfer who does not belong to a club but plays a lot of golf. You might also know a casual golfer who has thought about joining a club. The next time you see someone who might be interested, tell him or her about the benefits of being a member. If nothing else, he or she can be guaranteed a tee time at least twice each month with an opportunity to win pro shop credits!
