San Jose Muni Individual Low Net
December 9, 2017

On a sunny, warm day in December the club traveled just 17 miles south to San Jose Muni, a course we played last year as part of our Match Play Championship.  The course was in fairly good shape but the greens were a little choppy with footprints especially around the cups.  One particually striking site was the debris in the trees left of the 18th hole, remnants of the flooding along Coyote Creek last February.

In the Hogan Flight, Jim Cowie shot an even par 72 to win low gross.  Kevin Yamada and Brad Miller both shot a gross 81 with Keven taking low net by a stroke with a 69.  Brad's 70 was good for second place.  Three players tied for third at net 72 with Anthony Tuiono, Ed Barkley and Doug Marinkovich sharing the prize money and 2018 TOC points.

Buzz Ogren continued his strong play of the past year with an 85 to take low gross in the Palmer Flight.  Low net went to Ray Coler who had the best round of the day at 67 with Jack Purcell finishing second at 70.  Not to be outdone by the Hogan Flight, four players tied for third low net at 71 and shared the wealth and TOC points. Chuck Pickett, Don Kristofferson, John Osness and Lou Sehl split the $32 and 32 points four ways.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone for coming out.
