Black Horse Stableford
July 25, 2020

Modified Stableford, the high handicappers friend. For those who don't know how it works, players are awarded points for good play but can also lose points for not so good play.  In the end, the more points you accumulate, the better you played.  If you watched the recent American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe, you know how it works.

In the First Flight, guest Sean Guzman shot a great +3 to win low gross. Low net honors went to John Driver with a +3. Other TOC point winners in the flight included Keith Shiver and Luke Sieling.

Second Flight low gross went to Michael Kern at -14 points while Clayton Halsey had zero points to win low net showing that sometimes zero is a good thing. Webmaster John Frykland finished second at -1 with Doug Marinkovich in third and Heath Black in fourth.

In the Third Flight, Ken Arends survived a bit of wildness off the tee to take low gross at -26. Low Net went to club president Trevor Heathorn at +13, the best net score of the day. Nick Weyland, 86 year old Gordy Cole and Chuck Pickett took second, third and fourth, respectively

Congratulations to the winners.
John Frykland, Webmaster
