Tournament of Champions
This is the one you've worked so hard to get to all year. The top 36 players on the points list (+ ties) qualify for this event. It is the last major of the year and the last chance to get the coveted Player of the Year Trophy. For 2007, the points have been doubled so you may be able to move up significantly in the final standings by placing in this event.
The funding of one day of free golf (players pay their own green fee on Saturday) as well as the prize money comes from saving $1 out of each tournament entry fee during the year plus a contribution from general club income.
Keep track of your points on the web and on the bulletin board as the year progresses. As they say in the lottery ads, you can't win if you don't play.
