Net Match Play ChampionshipWe are looking forward to getting 64 players from all handicap ranges to compete in the purest form of golf. All flights will be at net handicaps, including the Championship flight. There will be no consolation flights. There will be only four rounds. We are not going to determine an overall champion this year. To minimize the handicap spread during the first four rounds, the field will be broken up into brackets of 16 based on your handicap index. It is important to get into the tournament early. The last few players to sign up may be left out of the field when there aren't enough to make a flight or after we get 64 sign ups. Priority will be given to those who sign up first. On-line sign up is the best way to go. Mail-ins will be logged at the end of the day their entry is postmarked or dropped in the box at the club. Seeding in all flights will be done using a random draw. Play in the Championship Flight will be from the Blue tees and all other flights from the White tees. Matches will be played using the difference between the current handicaps of the two players. Since the tournament is on non-concurrent weekends, the first weekend will be using March handicaps and the second weekend will use April handicaps.
Players must commit to playing all four days of the tournament. Prize money and points are to be determined. Last Updated on 11/22/2009 |
