NCGA Senior 2 Man Qualifier
(As Well As 2-Man Net For Entire Membership)
As in past years, we are combining the NCGA Senior four ball qualifier (for those of us
who are getting on in years) with a regular club event. In this case 'on in
years' means that a player must have reached his 55th birthday by the
date of the first round of the tournament finals.
Players wishing to qualify for the senior event should find an eligible partner
and sign up as a team. Keep in mind that no team can play with a difference in
their course handicaps of more than 8 strokes. If such a difference is present,
the team can play but the higher player's handicap is reduced to the lower
player's handicap plus 8. (Note that just like other NCGA events, players with
an index over 18.4 are eligible, but they must play with an 18.4 index.)
Three teams will go on to a second qualifier August 5, 2010 at a local course. A certain
number of teams from that qualifier will go on to the finals at Poppy Ridge
on September 16 and 17, 2010.
You can check your
NCGA GOLF magazine for other details, and if you want to play but can't find an
older partner, sign up and indicate your need for a partner. The tournament
chairman will do his best to pair up singles.
