Turkey Shoot
The format for this event is one day of individual match play (at the full difference between the players' course handicaps) with the winner getting a $25 Gift Certificate for a Turkey or bottle of Scotch or whatever. Last year several players donated their winnings to a local charitable organization that specializes in housing and feeding the less fortunate.
Pairings are done automatically by matching up the players by index. However, if two players want to play a grudge match for the turkey, they can let the tournament chairman know and they will matched against each other. Just indicate on your entry form who you might want to play in the grudge match.
