Twenty-three two man teams entered this year's tournament and tried to qualify for one of the 3 spots in this years NCGA Four Ball Net Championship.  All players enjoyed the great two days of spring weather but three teams enjoyed it more than the others.  When the dust had settled, the teams of Leith Anderson & Chuck Cali (on the left), John Arnot and Ray Mrofka (on the right), and Alan Reid and Jack Woods (below right) had won the three spots.  Also of note were the team of Ron Pang and Ed Barkley (below left) who actually shot the lowest team score but because Ed had scheduled a trip to the end of  nowhere for August, the team could not play in the qualifier and had to settle for taking first place in their flight of the club tournament also being conducted.

It should be noted that the club's pace of play is improving.  On Sunday our last group took only 4 hours and 36 minutes to complete their round and the first group stayed right behind the public play and completed in 4 hours and 25 minutes.  Let's keep up the good work.

Upcoming tournaments include the May 11 NCGA ILN Qualifier (closes right away), our tournament on the 26th of May at DeLaveaga, and our Match Play Championship which starts on June 1.  Please get your entries in so you don't miss another great tournament.

And also please note some price increases for the Home tournaments which start in  June.  Green fees on the weekend at Palo Alto went up $1.00 so the tournament fees also increased.  Checks received for the old price just create a headache so please print out a new schedule and replace the old one.
