In the last pre-TOC tournament of the year, three players worked their
way into the top 36 and qualified. Larry Gerrman won Low Gross in
his flight to move from #41 to #27; Alan Reid assured his position by moving
from #37 to #35 with a 4th Low Net finish in his flight; and Jack Helt
moved from #47 to #37 with 3rd Low Net in his flight. The list will
go to at least 37 as at least 1 person in the top 36 will be
unable
to play due to surgery. For all results see TOC
Standings .
Best round of the day was posted by Richard Timko. His 77 (net 63) won Low Gross in the Championship flight. It also moved him to within 43 points of the TOC leader, John Osness. Craig Allen shot a 79 (net 70) to take Low Net in the Championship flight and this moved him to within 47 points of John. This means that a strong showing by either player in the TOC will force John to place in the tournament. The pressure is on.
Shown to the left are Craig, Larry, and Scott Wellwood who won Low Net in the first flight. Richard Timko was too shocked by his even par 36 on the back nine to stay around.
