Leith Anderson, the Championship Flight winner, wasn't supposed to play
in the TOC. After all, he was 44th on the money list. The
night before the event Fred Woerner had to beg off due to illness.
The next member on the list
had made other plans this weekend and couldn't play either.
That left Leith as the next alternate on the list. After
he and his understanding wife Bonnie
rearranged some personal plans, Leith committed to play and the rest is
history. Here Leith and Bonnie accept the trophy from PAGC
President Craig Allen.
Not to be outdone, Nick Ronan shot a very consistent
72/71 to win the low net prize. Here he is with Mike Matkowski and
low gross winner Leith Anderson.
Notice that you don't see Player of the Year Bob
Spencer's name on this page. With some solid play from the other
players in the championship flight, Bob was unable to make any money
this time.
