Callippe Preserve Four Ball
August 9, 2009

This year's trip to this marvelous track was played as a four ball.  In case you got snared by an "Environmentally Sensitive Area", your partner could bail you out on the hole.  It sounds good in theory but it's difficult to put into practice.  Some teams did do a good job of "Ham and Egg" golf and went home with points and prizes.

In the first flight the team of Chuck Cali and Jeff Segol shot a nice 64 as did the team of Jim Stephans and newcomer Ivar Brock-Utne.  In the card playoff, Cali and Segol prevailed to take first.  Third place was also a tie between the teams of Larry Bazinett and Mike Matkowski and Ray Mrofka and Jack Simpson who both shot 66.

The second flight winners also shot some low numbers.  At the top of the list was the team of Marsh Armstrong and Dick Baker at 65.  Karl Clemons and Mike Riche shot 66 to take second while Tyler Biggs and John Binns were third with a 70.
