It was a beautiful 90 degree day that greeted the sixteen teams competing in this year's Poppy Hills event.

The winners of the 1st Flight beat the field by three strokes with a terrific 63. Congratulations to Nick Ronan, who shot 79 on his own ball, and his partner Greg Whelan who was the ham in this ham and egg team. Four other teams shot 68 to finish just out of the money.

In the 2nd Flight Woody Maynard and Jack Woods shot a great 64 to take honors and edge out the three teams tied for second. Woody's regular partner, TOC leader Patrick Beaulieu, was busy playing at Bayonet/Blackhorse with his fellow NVIDIA workers. I guess we now know who makes any team a contender.
