Red, White and Blue - ILN
July 11, 2009

Red numbers were the order of the day as all those who won something were under par.  It's amazing how picking the tees gives one an advantage in this popular event.  In the David Leadbetter Flight, Jim Cowie, the low gross winner, was under par while Jerry Lamigo won a card playoff in group of 67's to take low net honors.

In the Butch Harmon Flight, Bob Kelley took low gross with a 79 and broke a drought that went back to last year's Turkey Shoot.  If you know Bob, it was just a ploy to get his picture on the website.  Not to be outdone, Frank Orecchia shot a nice 65 to finish three shots ahead of his closest competitor and take the low net prize.

Finally, in the Hank Haney Flight, Karl Clemons shot a solid 82 to take low gross.  Tracy Powell, who was hot early in the year, made a return to the winner's circle with a 66 for low net honors.

Congratulations to all for another fine club event.
