NCGA Four Ball Qualifier February 20 & 21, 2010
Wet conditions and thick rough proved to be a challenge for most teams.
The three twosomes that qualified were all from the First Flight and bested the
field by at least four shots. At the top of the list were the teams of
Brad Miller/Peter Malloy and Fred Woerner/Marshall Armstrong both
with a 14 under par 130. Just one shot behind was the team of Doug
Marinkovich and new member Ray Fales. All three teams will move
on to the next level of competition at a nearby course on April 1.
In addition to the qualifier portion of the competition, the teams competed
in two flights for pro shop credits and those valuable TOC points. In the
First Flight, Brad Miller and Peter Malloy won the top spot on a card playoff.
The second flight was also decided on a card playoff with Karl Clemons
and Mike Riche besting Brad Martin and new member Mark Huecke.
Congratulations to all and good luck to the qualifiers in the next round of
competition.
