NCGA Senior Four Ball Qualifier
and Club Four Ball Tournament
June 19, 2010

In this year's qualifier there was one definite winner.  The team of Brad Miller and Peter Malloy shot a net 62 to move on to the next round of the NCGA competition.  They also took first place in their flight in the Club Four Ball event.  The other two qualifying spots were decided in a five-way playoff among all the teams that posted net 64.  That's right - five teams and ten golfers all playing the same hole.  It was a little crowded.

On the first hole, Dave Brandi sank a nice 20 foot birdie putt to claim the second qualifying spot for he and teammate Larry Bazinett.  Two teams parred the hole to move on in the playoff while two teams bogied and were eliminated.  On number two, Walt Joyce bombed a big drive, knocked a wedge to about five feet, and drained the putt to win the third spot along with partner Jim Mayer.

You'll notice in the results below that the team of Ray and Mike Fales shot a nice net 60 to win the Second Flight in the Club Four Ball.  Since neither are near the minimum age of 55 to qualify for the NCGA event, they had to settle for the prize money and points.

Congratulations to the qualifiers and flight winners!
