2010 Player of the Year - Craig Allen

Tournament Chairman Jim Breedlove (right) presents the Player of the Year trophy to Craig Allen.  Coming into the TOC, the final points event for 2010, Patrick Beaulieu held a three point lead over Craig and a thirteen point lead over Brad Miller.  With all the stars aligned and help from several players, Craig climbed his way to the top of the heap.  Following is a recap of how he got there.

Patrick and Brad both shoot two over par 146 on the weekend and won thirteen points each.  Coming to the 18th on Sunday, Craig is trailing both Peter Malloy and Woody Maynard for the last payout spot in his flight.  Playing in the same group with Peter, Craig bogies while Peter double bogies leaving them tied.  Playing right behind them, Woody triple bogies the 18th to make it a three way tie for third with 23 points being awarded to all three players.  That's good enough to give Craig the title by a mere seven points

Doug Marinkovich (right) shot a lights out thirteen under to win the Championship Flight low net by eight shots.  John Driver, playing with a zero index, turned around his game on Sunday with a one over 73 to win low gross.

Steve Mikulic (left) had a great weekend finishing just nine over par to win the low gross in the President's Flight.  Ray Fales was eight under winning the low net prize in the flight by six shots.
