Minutes: 7/3/25 PAGC Board Meeting
Attendees: Brian Garcia, Chris Dierkes, Chris Douvos, Chris Walker, Doug Marinkovich, franco
Montes, John Driver, Muk Sreenivasan, Niraj Jain
● Reviewed and approved June Board Meeting minutes
● We have 3 board openings for 2026; Muk Sreenivasan and Jeremy Compton have expressed interest in helping on the board
● Membership stands at 345 as of today
● Bandon Dunes Trip: Chris Walker gave a brief update
● San Juan Oaks Outing: We have 3 foursomes confirmed for 7/21 at SJO. Discussed possible formats for competition and settled on blind draw net Four Ball and individual net skins
● Website flow redesign: discussed if we should consider hiring someone to help - does not seem that the changes required are very extensive
● Fundraising: We have a $3K shortfall, will request 501c3 (deductible) donations
● 2026 Events Creation Updates: Franco will handle website, Patrick will do the setups on Member Planet, and Chris Walker will take care of Golf Genius
● P&L Walkthrough: Chris Dierkes reviewed collections and spending across different categories, as of June 30th, we have a positive variance vs budget of $5445
● NCGA MatchPlay League: Chris Walker reviewed results and upcoming matches. PAGC is currently in 3rd place (SIlver Creek 1st, Presidio 2nd, Palo Alto Hills 4th) in the Saturday group.
● 2026 Tournaments: Doug reviewed the tournament schedule and there was some discussion of alternatives for courses (HMB, Harding) where we may not be able to get a walking rate
● Handicaps (Driver): 4 players came up for exceptional score review this month
