March meeting minutes approved
Baylands to charge Links Card prices for purchases made with PAGC prize fund money. This will bring pricing on most items closer to MSRP at other retailers.
2024 Home Schedule complete. Working of 2024 Away Schedule. Will work to avoid aeration at Baylands. For winter schedule (January/February) will focus on courses that drain well. Also, discussion was had about courses that do not have carts. It was decided that it is okay to schedule an event on a walking course only. People that need carts will just skip. Not all events have to be for all players.
369 members for the year. Projected at 385 for the year.
Next board meeting in May will be the annual meeting on May 6th after shotgun event (at Baylands). Discussion about using club funds to provide food for members at this meeting. Board was in favor.
Communications update – Heath working on a newsletter for April.
Tournaments – 3 March tournaments. All tournaments went well. They all had small challenges, but nothing we couldn’t handle. Baylands was punched last week. Directors Cup will be 3 weeks after, so unsure about well the greens will heal.
Finance – Standard finance update. All line items are on track. John Driver mentioned that Member Planet charged $150 because we went over a monthly text message limit. Doug will look into that. In general, we ae decided that tournament directors should not send text messages (only emails) unless it is a time sensitive item (like looking for a last-minute tournament replacement).
Handicap – 1 golfer is hard capped, 23 soft capped.
